By signing up for a ride via kieldawnpatrol.cc, I confirm the following:
1. Personal Responsibility and Risk Acknowledgement
I am aware that participation in group cycling rides involves risks typical of cycling. These include, but are not limited to: falls, collisions with other road users or objects, hazards arising from road conditions and weather, as well as equipment failure. I participate in the ride voluntarily and at my own risk.
2. Physical Fitness
I confirm that I am physically capable of participating in the respective ride and that I am not aware of any health conditions that would preclude my participation. The assessment of my physical fitness is my own responsibility; the Verein assumes no responsibility in this regard.
3. Bicycle and Equipment
I use a roadworthy bicycle with functioning brakes, lights, and proper tyres. I bring my own equipment and clothing required for the ride. The Verein strongly recommends wearing a helmet.
4. Traffic Regulations
I am aware that the ride takes place on public roads. I am personally responsible for compliance with the German Road Traffic Regulations (Straßenverkehrsordnung, StVO) and all applicable traffic laws. Neither the Verein nor the Guides assume any traffic safety obligations (Verkehrssicherungspflicht).
5. Role of the Verein and Guides
The ride is organised by the Verein; Guides assume an orientating role (route guidance, pace setting). Guides are neither supervisors nor traffic safety officers. Changes to the route or schedule during the ride (e.g. due to weather, road closures, or other circumstances) are reserved.
6. Liability
For damage to property and financial losses, the Verein, its representatives, and Guides are only liable in cases of intent or gross negligence (Vorsatz oder grobe Fahrlässigkeit). For damages arising from injury to life, body, or health, statutory provisions apply. The Verein does not cover costs for breakdowns, material damage, or any required recovery/return transport.
7. Insurance
Participation in rides via kieldawnpatrol.cc is covered by the Verein's liability insurance (Vereinshaftpflichtversicherung), provided that a proper registration via the app has been completed and correct personal details have been provided. Regardless, all participants are recommended to hold their own private liability insurance (private Haftpflichtversicherung). Participation without prior registration is not covered by the Verein's insurance.
8. Registration and Data
I am aware that my name and the date of the ride are stored for insurance purposes for a period of 3 years (see Privacy Policy). In the event of non-attendance without prior cancellation, data storage will also take place, as a retrospective verification of attendance cannot be guaranteed in every case.
