Purpose of the Association (Extract from the Statutes, § 2)
The association has set itself the following goals:
- Promotion of community cycling
- Networking and promotion of cycling culture in and around Kiel
- Promotion of knowledge of safe behaviour on the bicycle and in road traffic
Non-Profit Status (Extract from the Statutes, § 3)
(1) The association exclusively and directly pursues charitable purposes within the meaning of the section "Tax-privileged purposes" (Steuerbegünstigte Zwecke) of the German Fiscal Code (Abgabenordnung).
(2) The association acts selflessly; it does not primarily pursue its own economic interests.
(3) The association's funds may only be used for purposes in accordance with its statutes. Members of the association do not receive any payments from the association's funds.
(4) No person may be favoured by expenditures that are unrelated to the purpose of the association, or by disproportionately high remuneration.
